Scrappy Trip Along - Part 4

Quilted, bound and washed!  Feels good to have this one ready to bring up to the cabin this weekend.
Blurry photo attempt.

Pieced quilt back

I think I set a personal best for speed on this one.  Feburary 3rd to 20th, 17 days!  I did a simple crosshatch pattern (every other diagonal) to quilt it, and stitched in the ditch around the borders.  My only regret is not using a solid for the binding.  I picked out the red check when I was doing plain navy borders, and I should have reevaluated when I went for scrappy borders.  It's a little busy.  Oh well.

  2. Wow. Beautiful finish. I was thinking it had such a homey look to it and can totally picture it being used at a cabin. Simply gorgeous, Wendy!

    1. Thanks! I like the word "homey", I was thinking as I was making it that it had a Holly Hobbie vibe to it. :)

  3. I really like how you finished this, the border, the back and I think the binding is the cherry on top! Perfect! I am working on one as well and would like to finish in a few weeks. Thanks for the inspiration.
